New Yarn, Show Results, Births and the Event Diary
28 April 2009
Last week was very busy so there's plenty to report from the farm.
For all the knitters out there:
We are now back in full swing with yarn production, and the coloured batches are coming back from the mill in rapid succession. We are pleased to announce that Chocolate, Steel and Oatmeal DK are back in stock- and the new chunkies should hopefully be back on Friday.
We have had great coverage in 'The Knitter' this month, especially with our new wooden buttons- more wood types will be announced this afternoon! Anyone in search of the cardigan featured in our advert will find that we sell this as a final knitted garment- i'm afriad we do not (yet) sell the pattern and the yarn separately.
For the animal lovers:
This weekend we were at the Spring Alpaca Fiesta at Purston Manor. We are proud to announce that we won 1st prize in the adult brown with Jaina- who then went on to take the reserve champion brown alpaca at the show. We took a 1st in white adult with Aragorn.. and a 3rd with Pollack our little white suri male. This year the event was extremely well attended by breeders with fierce competition in all colours and a fantastic display of quality animals- let's hope they sell us our fleece!! I can't wait for shearing!
For the spinners:
We will be shearing this year the week of the 18th of May.
Show Dates:
See the Toft Trailer at Badminton Horse Trials 6th-10th May- and then the Royal Windsor Horse Show 13th-17th May.
